The first words that come to mind for me when I think about Liberty Jail are: humbling and awe inspiring. It is amazing to visit this place and think about all that Joseph Smith and the early saints went through. The strength of their testimonies and willingness to endure to the end truly amaze me. It helps me remember to trust in my Heavenly Father and to allow Him to teach me as I endure my trials and rely on Him. Our Heavenly Father truly loves each and every one of us and is with us in our darkest moments to love us and to teach us in those humble hours. I am so thankful for the opportunity we had to visit this sacred place.
