On June 8, 2013 we had a busy day! We went a ton of places! The first place we stopped was in Independence, Missouri. We looked at the Community of Christ from the outside. We didn't really have the desire to go inside. We spent our time in the Visitor's Center and on the grounds.

While we were there, the Sister Missionaries spoke with us for a few minutes as part of the tour. While we were sitting at the Christus, they wanted us all to sing, "Families Can Be Together Forever." As we sat there singing this simple hymn, the power in it brought me to tears. I looked at my sweet husband and children and my heart was so full of gratitude to my Heavenly Father for blessing me with my Eternal Family and I couldn't keep my emotions under control! The Spirit is so incredibly strong as you visit these sacred places in our church's history. It was amazing!
There are four stones in the ground that show where the temple would have been.
