"Shishing" and Mesa Falls

We needed a family day away from the stress of life and work, so we took the boys and went to Henry's Lake in Island Park to go "shishing" as Trevin says. He doesn't say his "f"s very often, and substitues and s or an sh in its place. We went fishing and enjoyed the time together as a family. This is the Cutthroat Trout that Kyle caugt. It was the only fish we did catch, but we had fun anyways.

Josh is quite the fisherman. He casts by himself and everything. He is just like his daddy!

Cooper is such a happy guy. This was his first fishing trip and we was such a happy boy. He didn't like being in the baby carrier on my, so he sat in his carseat out of the wind and sun and he loved every minute of it. We sure love this little guy!

Trevin fished for a few minutes here and there, but he was happier to just eat marshmallows and throw rocks. When we asked the boys if they were excited to go fishing or to throw rocks, Josh said to go fishing and Trevin said to throw rocks. And that is just what they did.

On the way home, we decided to take the scenic route and visit Mesa Falls. Kyle and I haven't been there since before we started dating 7 years ago. It was fun to visit and ponder the changes our lives have made in the last 7 years. We started off at Mesa Falls as just friends. We then dated for a year and have been married for almost 6 years. We have three handsome boys and couldn't be more grateful for the life that we share. What a blessing eternity is. We get to spend the rest of eternity together as a family. I can't wait to see what the next years bring as our boys continue to grow and bring joy into our life. They are so full of energy and laughter. Time with them is the perfect fix for a stressful and depressing day. We are so truly blessed!!
